What is the attire for the event? The Cor Leonis "Heart of the Lion" Gala is a black-tie event and a great opportunity to get dressed up for a fun, formal evening of gathering together with the CDA community. In the spirit of the Cowboys and Rangers, feel free to add some Texas chic to your attire: boots & ballgowns, suits and Stetsons. OR, in light of the athletic stadiums adjacent to our gala venue, don't be afraid to finish your formal look with some stylish sneakers or bedazzled kicks. Ladies: Full-length Gown, Formal Jumpsuit, or Cocktail Dress Gentlemen: Jacket and Slacks, Suit and Tie, or Tuxedo Footwear: Formal shoes, Cowboy Boots, Stylish Sneakers, or Bedazzled Tennies.

I would like to donate an auction item. How do I go about doing that?Thank you! We appreciate your support of CDA's Cor Leonis "Heart of the Lion" Gala. We are welcoming donated auction items and would love to receive them before February 20th, 2025. Please fill out the Donated Auction Item Form or email development@cdalions.org. Businesses: would you like to promote your company or services but don't have something tangible to give? Use our Gala Wish List to purchase an item for the auction. You will be listed as the donor, and we will promote your business when highlighting the item on social media, in emails, and with an 8.5 x 11 framed flyer next to the item at the gala! Peruse options here or choose an item that would complement your business (i.e. - home appliance for a realtor, car accessories for an auto repair shop, or STEM toys for a tutoring center). How can I volunteer to help plan for the gala in the months before the event? Each year, it takes a village of volunteers to pull off one of CDA's most exciting events, the Cor Leonis "Heart of the Lion" Gala. We welcome you to join us on this rewarding adventure and serve alongside fellow Lions as we prepare for the event months ahead of time, set up on the day of, or even help the week following the gala. Please email us to discuss how best we can plug you in to our volunteer team.
